Elements of Music

Units and activities are designed and developed with the following elements of music in mind:

• Rhythm
• Melody
• Harmony
• Dynamics
• Tempo
• Tone Color
• Form
• Expression

All grade levels have musical experiences in listening, moving, dancing, analyzing, creating, and performing.  The students will also be exposed to multi-cultural music, various musical genres, famous composers, spirituals, patriotic songs, liturgical songs, and cross-curricular activities.
