CYO Track and Field Director, Steve Wilkie, would
like to invite those interested in Track and Field to come to the OCC
Invitational and see what this sport is all about.
St. Clare CYO Board Meeting - 7:00pm, Sunday,
October 1st
Be a part of making great memories for our kids.
The St. Clare CYO Athletic Board is recruiting volunteers who would like
to participate in the 2006/07 St. Clare Athletic Board. The
St. Clare Athletic Board coordinates & oversees the participation of
our children in all CYO athletic programs held at our school or in
conjunction with other CYO school programs. Football, swimming,
volleyball, basketball, and track are the primary sports.

The St. Clare CYO Board will be meeting on Sunday,
October 1st at 7:00pm in the school cafeteria. You are welcome to attend and learn more
about St. Clare CYO sports.
ST. CLARE BOOK CLUB
We are continuing our St Clare Book Club this year
for students in grades 4-8th. This is an opportunity for students
to read chosen books throughout the year and discuss them with their
peers. Thank you for your positive feedback and enthusiasm about
the Book Club. I am really looking forward to facilitating this
again with Natasha Forrester, the Youth Librarian from Capitol Hill
Library. The Book Club will meet the third Tuesday of every month
at 2:10-3:00 (our early dismissal day). There will be no meetings
in December or April. If your child is interested make sure they
remember our first meeting on September 19th in the Library at 2:10 PM.
Yoplait Pink Lid Collection
Fourth graders, Katie Malueg, Lucile Beckett, and Madison Caster, are
collecting Yoplait Yogurt pink lids again this year as part of Yoplait’s Save
Lids to Save Lives program benefiting the Komen Foundation. Yoplait
will make a 10-cent donation to the foundation for each lid collected.
You can join the effort by eating pink lid yogurts, licking the lids
clean, and depositing your lids in the designated container located in
the cafeteria. Katie, Lucile, and Madi will collect the lids through
Christmas Break. Every lid counts and brings us all closer to a cure!
Together, we can make a difference.
2007 St. Clare
Benefit Auction - Night of Good Fortune
Save the date, February 24, 2007 for "Night of
Good Fortune" the 2007 St. Clare Benefit Auction. We are
currently assembling our wonderful team and many people have already
stepped forward, but we still have positions available including Catalog
Coordinator, Bar Coordinator, Facilities Chair, Procurement team and
writing positions. If you are interested in these positions, or
want to help in any other way, please contact Debbie Freepons at

It is never too early to start thinking about fun
and exciting items for this year's auction. Please pick up a
procurement form in the office and while you are out and about ask for a
donation from the business/service you used. If you thought they

GRESHAM FORD
If you know
anyone who lives in Gresham
and frequents Gresham Ford they will give our school back 10% of all
service orders, parts and labor. They will also donate $100 for
every car you purchase. Please see General Manager, Bess Wills,
when getting your car serviced. They are located at 1940 E. Powell Blvd
in Gresham.

Please note that the emergency contacts you listed
on your registration forms are just that ,"emergency
contacts". They would only be contacted by us if there
were a true emergency and you could not be reached. If you
are having your child picked up early by anyone other than yourself you
will need to let either the teacher or office know whether they are
listed on your registration form or not. Please give your
early pick-up person a heads up that they will be required to show
I.D. Thank you.
