FITNESS CHALLENGE

Friday, April 28th is the date!  We are looking for Class Captains to help us motivate and communicate to the kids on how much fun this fundraising event really is!  What does being a Class Captain entail, you ask?  Quite simple, your co-chairs will help with ideas and events that will take place during the weeks prior to event day, April 28th that will involve going to the classrooms with activities, games and fun ideas to get the kids excited about raising money.  If you are interested in being a Class Captain, please contact your 2006 Fitness Challenge co-chairs, Amy Marconi, amarconi@nwstaffing.com and Spencer Gall, spence_gall@yahoo.com by January 31st.  So far we have the following class captains in place, KAM, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th so we need more help!

ST. CLARE PRESCHOOL NEWS

The preschool is proud to be accredited by the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). NAEYC accreditation is voluntary, and to date, about 5,000 programs nationwide (or roughly 5% of the market) have achieved it. An additional 10,000 programs are working toward accreditation. Centers undergo an extensive review process which involves meeting standards in every area of the preschool, evaluating our classrooms, curriculum, teacher credentials, and conducting family and staff surveys. To maintain accreditation, the NAEYC requires a yearly review of staff, scheduling, class sizes and other criteria. Accredited centers provide better quality services for children and families. Our annual report was recently submitted. Every five years an on-site review is conducted. We thank all of the parents and staff for helping us continue to maintain a quality childcare center.
