CARNAVAL:  Viva St. Clare!

Viva St. Clare…..is THE understatement!  Last Saturday night was another exhilarating auction put on by a great auction team!  The early results show that we took in $94,888 at the oral auction, a new record!  The art projects brought in $17,100.  The   class packages brought in $13,725, and the teacher packages brought in $13,640!

We would like to extend our thanks, gratitude and feeling of awe to our co-chairs, Jennifer Pinder and Debbie Freepons.  They did an outstanding job in creating the welcoming atmosphere that brought everyone in to have the great time that they did.  What a    magnificent event!

Thanks also go to Nancy Bolton and Wayne Graham who co-chaired procurement this year.  Not only did they manage this large task, but they motivated a lot of new people to go out and procure some of the best items we have ever seen.  They leave no rock unturned when coming to the procurement of  a wanted item.

Then we move onto all of the parents, parishioners, friends, relatives and neighbors who came out in support of our school by participating in this major fund-raiser.  The auction came alive because of the spirit of our supporters.

Thanks go to Rhoni Seguin who was successful in acquiring the matching gift of $100 for every $100 bid designated for tuition assistance for the school and preschool from the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Foundation.  This Foundation has been so generous to St. Clare School.  We owe them a debt of gratitude for caring about the education of ALL children.

There are so many other people to thank for making this evening a triumphant success and not enough paper in our cupboards to cover everyone.   Our community is so blessed with support, it is overwhelming!

This will go down in the memory books as another “over-the-top” success. I just want to convey our deepest gratitude and joy for   everyone's commitment to this fund-raiser and for the benefits St. Clare will receive because of the sensational evening we all had!  Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

TAKE A JOURNEY INTO MR. PUCCIO'S SCIENCE FAIR

Mr. Puccio is again heading an outstanding science fair this year.  Thursday, March 2nd at 6:30 p.m., the middle school hallway will be transformed into a gigantic science lab with displays of what each student has discovered using Mr. Puccio's inquiry method.  It's more than a quick trip down a hallway.  It's an exploration into the minds of our young scientists.  Come and experience the journey and enjoy the wonder and commendations extended to our young scientists.
