ST. CLARE AUCTION CARNAVAL 2006

Amazingly, the auction committee is already hard at work on preparation for February 26th, 2006.  Throughout the next several months we will be asking school and parish families for help in this process.  Your input, small or large is essential to the success of our evening.  Please keep your eyes out for announcements in the Dragon Post or in newsletters going home with your children.  We all thank you in advance for your contributions.

At this time the Decorations Committee is looking for coupons from Michaels and/or Joann Fabric.  These can be found in the Sunday Oregonian or in email newsletter.  Please send these through the backpacks to Lisa Cavaness c/o her son Matthew in the 4th grade.

Finally, look for the annual mailing of the procurement letter and forms to be sent out next week.

Please call or e-mail Mrs. Napoli at lmnapoli@hotmail.com if you are available to help set up, work during or pack up the fair when it is over.  She will contact those of you that signed at Back to School night to confirm your times.  She especially needs help on Tuesday the 18th and Thursday the 20th.

Thank you for your support

5TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL TEAM

Fifth grade girls had a volleyball tournament at Holy Redeemer the weekend of September 17th.  This is the first year for this fifth grade volleyball team.  They won four out of five games.  Clearly they are off to a great start.  Team players consist of Katherine Ambrose, Madeline Powelson, Jackie Sheridan, Madison Clifford, Mackenzie Spiller, Anna Brown, Carly Seguin and Maggie Taylor.  They have two players from other schools on their team too.  The fifth grade is coached by Gordon and Alex Clifford and Michelle Powelson.  Check the CYO web page under volleyball for their schedule and take in a few games.  They would love to have your support!

UPDATE:  The fifth grade girls played Franciscan Montessori this past weekend and won all three games.  Scores were 15-2; 15-5 and 15-2.  CONGRATULATIONS!
