ST. CLARE PARISH COMMUNITY LIFE

Once again, the Parish Picnic was a BIG success with 300 plus people in attendance, beautiful weather, delicious food and lots of fun and games!  Many thanks to the 2005 Picnic Committee:  Sally Zweber, Paul Kowash, Colette Cassinelli, Greg Fredrick's, Mary Bunday and their many volunteers.  Sincere appreciation is also extended to everyone who provided the salad fixings and yummy desserts.   All did a fantastic job to make this annual gathering another enjoyable community event!

ST. CLARE GIVING TREE PROJECT

Preparations for this year’s holiday Giving Tree Project will begin soon.  If you are interested in joining the organizational team, please contact Laurie Zupsic at the parish office, ext 105.  There will be one planning meeting in early October followed by action items to complete throughout November and mid-December.  Working with fellow parishioners dedicated to this important outreach project is an extremely rewarding experience.  Come and join us!

PRESCHOOL NEWS - Giving Season Upon Us

The preschool is abuzz this time of year with various social service projects that contribute needed items to the community. During the weeks of October 17th through the 28th, we will be collecting used coats and blankets in good condition for distribution to downtown ministries. We encourage parish members to contribute if they can. It's a wonderful opportunity to give some warmth to those in need.

FR. ANDREW THOMAS SAYS "THANK YOU!"

“I want to thank all those who shared in this joyous time of my life as I am ordained in the priesthood. Also thank you to St Clare parish and staff for being so supportive over the pass of my seminary studies.

May God bless each of you.”
