ST. CLARE

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR

This year our book fair will run from October 18th through October 21st from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday and 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday (conference week).

We are pleased to bring you this book fair because it gives you and your children the opportunity to buy carefully selected, quality books at affordable prices.  Proceeds from this event will benefit the St. Clare School Library.  A preview list of some of the books that will be available at the fair will be sent home with your child soon.  There will also be available wish lists for the classrooms so that you can help donate to your child's classroom library as well.

Please call or e-mail Mrs. Napoli at lmnapoli@hotmail.com if you are available to help set up, work during or pack up the fair when it is over.  She will contact those of you that signed at Back to School Night to confirm your times.  She especially needs help on Tuesday the 18th and Thursday the 20th.

Thank you for your support

Mrs. Lynn Napoli

FIRST GRADE THANKS

First graders send a great big THANK YOU for a terrific first "Wear Free Dress - Bring a Can of Food" day last Friday.  325 cans of food were collected.  The first graders counted them and carried them over to the St. Clare St. Vincent de Paul cupboard.  Thanks everyone!

ST. CLARE STUDENT COUNCIL

The St. Clare Student Council "Store" will reopen this October through November.  We will be selling snacks and other items after school in the area outside the office and 8th grade classroom on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:05 - 3:20 p.m.  We will have the popular cookies, chips, and Red Vines, as well as some healthier choices of granola bars, nuts, and fruit leather.  We will also have flavored water and 100% fruit juice packs.  We also have stuffed dragons now selling at a bargain price of $5.00.  Prices on other items range from $.25 to $1.00.  All proceeds benefit Student Council projects including Red Ribbon Week and Catholic Schools' week student activities.  Other profits will be earmarked toward a scholarship, yet to be determined and more.  Thank you for your support.
