SUMMER READING 2005

Summer Reading Starts June 1st.  Discover some fun at the public library this summer!  Beginning June 1st, kids of all ages (babies to teens) can sign up for Multnomah County Library’s Summer Reading program.  Participants may read on their own, be read to by someone else, or even listen to books on tape or CD.  Sign up and learn how to play at your local library or online at www.multcolib.org/summer/.  (Information online is in English and Spanish).  Players keep track of their reading to earn T-shirts and other prizes; those who finish the game will be entered into the grand prize drawing for a trip for four to Disneyland!  Teens can also enter a drawing to win a $250 shopping spree at Pioneer Place.

The three-month Summer Reading program also includes a wide array of fun, free events for children and families.  Local libraries will offer stories, music, crafts, magic and lots of other activities all summer long.  Programs start the second weekend in June.

Remember, Summer Reading starts June 1st and you are invited!
