Dear Parents, Teachers, and Parish Staff,
Here are some points of interest as we head to the end of the school year:
PRINCIPAL’S CORNER
As we round out the year, I’d like to notify you of a change in
our Dragon Post. We have used the
Dragon Post as a means of sharing with you about school life, keeping you
abreast of events, notifying you of fundraising needs and results, sharing
parish information and community notices.
We have especially enjoyed placing pictures in the Dragon Post so you
can see life at its best at
This document takes a lot of time to produce each week, and invariably
uses a lot of paper. Patty puts the
Dragon Post on the web and in e-mail each Tuesday so you have had three ways in
which to access this news. In the future, we will only be posting the Dragon Post on the web with
pictures of those who have given us permission to post their child’s
image on the web and in e-mail.
A note about pictures….we ask your permission to have your child’s picture used in the Dragon Post and/or on the school’s website. If I take a group picture and it has a student whose parents have not given permission to have their child’s picture posted in either place, I will blur the face and/or image so that that student is not recognizable. We keep a short list of students who should not have their image or work displayed in these venues. It is hard not to recognize these students if they have achieved some honor, but we understand the concern and will honor parents’ request to keep their son/daughter’s image off the web.
We recently purchased Front Page, which is a web publishing software. Once Patty and I figure out how to use it, we will produce the Dragon Post using Front Page. Hopefully, we’ll avoid some of the glitches we’ve encountered using MS Publisher.
Our website has become a tremendous marketing tool for
Keeping you well informed of school and parish life has been a priority for us. With Patty’s nearly daily emails with new information or reminders, I think you would agree that parents are kept in the loop all the time. It is a huge help to us when parents download forms and information off our website rather than calling us to ask for things you already have easily available to you through this venue. We will continue our commitment to provide good communication with our families. Any comments about our Dragon Post are always welcome.
And finally, I’d like to invite everyone to join us for our end
of the year Mass which will take place June 17th at

LAST WEEK OF DROP-IN CARE FOR BASC
BASC June Drop In charges from 6/1-10/05 will be invoiced on 6/13. We will be asking everyone who uses BASC for drop-in care the last week of the school year, 6/14-6/17, to write a check at pick-up for the time used. This will help us easily close out the books for the school year. One final reminder that the BASC program will be closed at noon on Friday, June 17th. Please make arrangements to have your children picked up at that time so they can get started with their summer break. Thank you.
Don’t Miss the End of Summer Luncheon! Yes, we know that summer
