2ND GUESSING?

Recently second graders worked on an activity in math to help them understand the terms “predictions,” “likelihood,” “probability,” “certainty” and “impossibility.”   Cooperative learning is a team effort and these kids are mastering concepts with the help of their teammates.  Their “probability” for success runs very high!

READING FOR PLEASURE

Second graders started Book Clubs.  Students read chapter books of all kinds, from mysteries to adventure stories to short novels by Judy Blume.  They read in small groups of two to four to discuss the book and work on book reports.  It’s great to watch them become independent readers, interacting with each other and with literature.

KUDOS TO OUR STUDENTS!

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our students who daily try their hardest to be welcoming to new students, to get along with each other, to excel at their studies and help keep the spirit of this school so happy and safe.  I’m very proud of what we have created here at St. Clare School.  Our students are the best in the west!
