PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

Now that the Town Hall meeting and Open Houses are behind us, our work is now devoted to completing the registration process with our own returning families.  You received your “spiffy-looking” registration packet on Tuesday.  We are expecting its return on Monday, February 9 (yesterday!).  On Tuesday, February 10 enrollment is open to new families from St. Clare parish.  At this point, enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, but obviously we want to register our own families first.  If you do not plan to return next year, please allow us the courtesy of knowing you do not intend to register, should that be

the case.

Our goal is to reach 230 students.  It looks like we will fill Kindergarten for sure.  As new parents came to the Open House, Patty asked them how they learned about us.  In almost every case, it was through word of mouth, not newspaper advertisements, websites, banners, etc.  We’ve known that this is always the most effective way to get the word out.  Please tell your neighbors, relatives and friends about our great program.  Keeping enrollment up, helps keep tuition increases at a minimum.

Our new brochure is going home to you today.  After reading it, pass it along to someone who might benefit

PADDLE BID

At last year’s Auction,  parents, friends and parishioners gave the school enough money to purchase computers for our teachers.  As you can see from the picture at left, there are plenty of smiles of appreciation.  There’s nothing so fine as having a good tool of your trade!

This year, the teachers are asking for a new synchronized bell and clock system.  This will help everyone  get to class and fire drills on time.  The paddle bids in the past have provided new art tables, new window shades for all classrooms, new technology, and new desks and chairs.  We look forward to making this next Paddle Bid a positive change for all of our teachers and students.  Help us throw out the clapper on the old hand bell for good!
