On April 7^th, the third graders went on a walking tour of downtown Portland with Urban Tour Group. They saw many Portland landmarks and learned a lot about city life. Some of the interesting sights and landmarks they saw were the Oregon Historical Society’s 3-D Building, the Heathman Hotel, and the Wells Fargo Building, just to name a few. One of the highlights of their trip was meeting Mayor Vera Katz as they sat in on a City Hall meeting about Campaign Finance. They also went to the top of the Wells Fargo Building and were able to identify all of Portland’s bridges.
