Welcome.to.St..Clare.School!
Dear
Parents,
St. Clare School offers a faith-based
and challenging curriculum that thoroughly prepares students for their high
school education. Your child is our number one concern, to make sure he or she
realizes many successes, is growing up spiritually, and experiences a caring
community.
Completing the registration materials,
submitting fees, and meeting with the principal is the registration process! Here is what you can expect:
Step I Call to set up an
appointment to meet with the principal. Plan on a 20-30 minute conference in
which you’ll discuss your child’s prior or current education, his or her
particular learning needs, and any special needs we should know about.
Step II At this conference you will
schedule a time for your child to spend two concurrent days in the grade he or
she is currently enrolled. This gives your child an opportunity to see if he or
she would like St. Clare School, and it gives us a chance to see if we are
reasonably sure we can serve your child’s needs given our staffing. At this
time, parents are asked to share with the principal your child’s past report
cards, standardized test reports, special testing of any kind, and any
recommendations from former teachers.
Step III Complete and submit to the
school office the new student fee of $50.
Once you have received word from the principal to proceed with
enrollment, complete and submit all remaining applicable forms and fees to the
office.
The actual cost
to educate one child at St. Clare is $5,980.
New families must pay a nonrefundable
first month’s out-of-parish tuition when submitting registration materials. A
nonrefundable $50 new student fee is required with registration. Please see the Fee Schedule form.

You qualify for in-parish tuition if you…
• Have met with Fr. Tom Farley to establish in-parish status.
(Deadline: August 24)
• Your family must give regular financial support to the parish,
e.g., use identifiable parish contribution envelopes.
• Non-St. Clare Catholics must have their pastor sign the
out-of-parish school commitment form.
Tuition Assistance
Tuition
assistance may be available to all registered Catholic families who cannot pay
the full tuition cost. There are two sources for tuition assistance: the
Archdiocesan Education Fund and the St. Clare school tuition assistance
program. This last source is generally funded solely through the
Adopt-A-Student program sponsored by St. Clare parish and school.
At
the time of registration, parents may request a FACTS application form and
submit it by the stipulated deadline. FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment (www.factsmgt.com) is a third party
service that determines a priority list of needs based on confidential
financial information provided by parents to this organization. St. Clare
notifies tuition assistance applicant families by late May. Given available
funds by the Archdiocese and school, as well as the number in need requesting
aid, the School Advisory Council (SAC) finance committee will make the final
determination of tuition grants. All information is kept in the strictest
confidence.
