Spring
2007
Dear
St. Clare Parishioners,
Welcome
to the 2007-08 school year registration process. We acknowledge the sacrifices
parents make to send their child/ren to St. Clare school. Not only do you make
a monetary sacrifice, but even more significant are the time and talent,
interest and involvement you provide to our school. Your choice recognizes the
special value of Catholic education at St. Clare School where gospel and family
values complement high educational standards. Your sacrifices mean that those
values will find their root and grow in the lives of your child/ren. With all
the members of St. Clare Parish, we commend you and prayerfully support you in
choosing St. Clare.
Just as you make financial sacrifices
to send your child/ren to St. Clare, the parish too makes financial sacrifices
to support our children. Wishing to acknowledge that many families support both
our parish and our school, St. Clare school provides a reduced parishioner
tuition rate. Reduced tuition recognizes that these families contribute doubly
to our St. Clare community. Thus, those Catholic families seeking the reduced
“In-Parish” tuition rate must demonstrate active participation in the parish.
These requirements are in accord with 15-year-old Archdiocesan policy.
To
qualify for reduced tuition a family must be…
·
Registered with St. Clare Parish
Fill out
the parish registration form and turn it into the parish office.
· Involved
and Attend St. Clare Parish
Regularly
attend Sunday Mass at St. Clare and actively participate in parish activities
over and above the Parent Involvement Program (PIP) commitment.
· Financially
Supportive of the Parish
Regularly use parish envelopes.
· Make an
appointment with St. Clare Parish Pastor Fr. Tom Farley
For new
families only, or those with special concerns. This meeting gives you and St.
Clare’s pastor an opportunity to meet personally to discuss the criteria for
parishioner status. He can also answer
any questions you may have. After your appointment, Father will forward to the
school and parish offices your family’s parishioner status, thereby determining
your 2007-08 tuition rate.
Each spring our pastor reviews the
current parishioner status list to ensure that families continue to meet the
above criteria. Each of these families will receive a letter from him by April
15 indicating status for the coming year.
If you want to be considered for
parishioner status for 2007-08, please contact the parish office to set up an
appointment. Father Tom Farley has set aside a block of Mondays, May 1, 8, 22 and June 5 from 3:30–5:45 p.m.
for these meetings. These conferences will be about 15 minutes. Final
determination of parishioner status will be made by August 27 for in-parish
tuition rates for the 2007-08 school year. No status changes will be made after
August 27.
May God bless you! We look forward to
this coming year of grace.
