Mrs. Kollars’s Classroom  and Assignment Expectations

·       Prior to class, students should be quietly seated and ready for instruction promptly with all required class

materials including text book, notebook, folder, assignment book, paper, and pens

·        Students should raise their hands to share information or ask questions.

·       When given work time in class, students should work quietly unless directed otherwise

·       Students MUST include the complete and correct heading on assignments or points may be deducted.

(#, name, date, subject, page in upper right hand corner of paper.)

·       All work homework/class work to be turned in will be completed in blue, black or dark purple ink.  Points

may be deducted if this is not followed.

·       When using loose-leaf paper, students should NOT tear pages out from three-ring binder or spiral notebook.

Points may be deducted if this is not followed.

·       Work in notebooks must be completed in pen, but any legible color is acceptable.

·       Work is expected to be neat and legible.  Students may write in cursive or in manuscript.

Messy writing may lower the final grade or even cause an assignment to be unaccepted for grading.

·       Students may use a word processor for many assignments.

·       Students should not assume that they can access the classroom computer/printer when they enter class.

They may be able to do so at their break or before or after school to print out homework etc.

·       If homework is not ready to turn in when asked for it will be considered late.  A parent note may excuse

late homework if I feel the excuse is justified.
