6th
Grade
In Science class the 6th grade
has been studying Animals. We started with Sponges, Cnidarians, and
Flat/Round Worms. Now we are moving onto Arthropods, Crustaceans, and
Echinoderms! Students will be put into groups and making story-books about
one of these animal groups to read to our First Grade buddies!.

Science Rules….
The 7th grade is currently in
the process of making their very own version of a
Bill Nye the Science Guy video. If you are unfamiliar with the series, you
should check it out! The kids are a huge fan and excited to make one on the
topic of Thermal Energy! If you would like to help out in our production,
whether it be with props, costumes, or video-work,
please let me know!!
Math in the
Mornings
In 8th grade math, students will now be taking daily homework
quizzes over the previous nights’ homework. This will help inform me
and the student of their understanding of that night’s concept. Mastering
these topics now will help out next year in high-school, so encourage your
students to stay motivated and work hard!
A reminder again that Math can be a frustrating subject for students.
But, doing your homework every night is vital to success. Please make sure they
are doing nightly homework. Please note that it is posted online daily. I am also availible for one on one help if they are having
trouble with a certain concept.
