SLE Reflections

“I think that a faith-filled person is a person who believes in God.  They help others and try to be like Jesus in all ways.  They try to be kind and generous towards others, too.  They are the servants of God.”

“To be an effective communicator is to express and communicate in different ways, through facial expressions, art, school speeches, and projects.  You can also communicate through hand and body motions, or even different languages.  It is a very important thing to do!”

“To me being a responsible citizen means to work hard to respect others and your community and people that respect you and your emotions.  People who love others, respect everything from the fish in the sea to their elders, and put others before them self are responsible citizens and loving people.”

“A life-long learner is a person that can learn something then go share it and teach other people.  They act as a role-model and learn things while they are teaching.  A life-long learner can go very far in life and can demonstrate self control in a way other people can’t.  A life-long learner can help the community one step at a time.”

The fourth grade students reflected on what it means to be a faith-filled person, an effective communicator, a responsible citizen, and a life-long learner.  These four reflections were read by the students who wrote them at Mass on October 25th.
