Homework May 13th-May 16th     

Updates

Multiplication

Please make sure you have a set of flashcards to practice with at home.  We will have daily timed tests in class.      

Daily Reading

Read each night to meet 100 minute weekly goal.  Write down the title and get parent initials each night.  Due Friday

Homework 30-40 minutes each night Mon-Thurs.

Homework is meant as a review of a class lesson from that day.  Math homework will be pulled from our third grade textbook resources.  Spelling or Phonics Homework in addition to math homework maybe assigned. 

 

Classroom Happenings

Math-We will begin a new chapter on measurement this week.

Writing- We will continue with the Portland report writing process.  We will begin drafting reports. 

Religion-We will be working with the” Fully Alive” books.  Students will explore how human life begins as a single cell.  We will also identify the needs of newborn babies.   

Reading- We will be reading from the anthology this week. We will be identifying different points of view in the text.     

Science- We will finish and review the “Motions of the Earth and Moon” chapter.  Students will take a chapter test on Friday.

Portland Report

We are working on the report writing process in class.  Visual displays are to be done at home and brought to school Thursday May 15th.
